q: How does the pricing for a CATS Performance Series work?
Tickets can be purchased at a discount with a package/series price and includes all six shows in the series. Package/series tickets are given priority, assigned seating.
- Series or Package Tickets are sold to current subscribers prior to being released the public. Current subscribers are welcome to retain their seats by renewing early.
- New subscribers who want to purchase a series can choose from seats available after tickets have been opened to the public.
- Shows can also be purchased as single tickets. Single tickets are only available for purchase once all subscribers have had time to purchase their package/series. Single tickets usually become available at least two months before the first show.
- Pricing for single seats are available in two pricing groups: Adult and Student.
Q: How does seating work?
CATS Performance series seating is made available as assigned seating only. You may choose from available seats when purchasing online by SimplyTickets. Buttons will go live under individual performances as soon as tickets for that performance become available.

Q: Is there a concession?
Concession may be available depending on the event. Note: Concession (food/drink) items (other than bottled water) are not allowed in the theatre.
Q: how will I know when tickets go on sale?
There are several ways!
1. Keep an eye on the buttons below your performance of interest. We will keep these updated with changed text, and they will be LIVE once tickets are available for purchase.
2. Follow our Facebook Page, and/or our Instagram. We will be making announcements on both platforms.
3. NEW! Sign up to our Newsletter. A newsletter will go out with a specific purpose each time it's sent. Meaning, tickets go on sale, changes in time, date, etc., and more.

Q: What if I can't make it?
Tickets are not refunded for any reason other than cancellation. If unable to attend an event, please ensure your tickets are given to a friend, colleague or neighbour (they are transferable*). In the event of a cancellation, you will be contacted with more information.

Q: Can I buy a Series Package through Simply Tickets?
Yes. You will find tickets for all CATS Performance Series and Special Event presentations on Simply Tickets. Drama or High School events will post how and where to purchase tickets. Follow us on Facebook / Instagram for ticket information on any other events. Watch for deadlines for subscription purchases.
Q: What if i bought series package, but went to less than 6 shows?
We sincerely hope you enjoyed the shows you were able to attend, and hope that the remaining performances are passed along a friend or family member. Series Package Passes are transferable. Flexibility is built into these passes. They are easy to share to save some money, or to give as Gifts! If your gift recipient can't make all 6 either, then they are welcome to pass it down until a total of 6 shows have been attended.
Q: Parking?
Early arrivals enjoy parking right outside the theatre entrance. There is street parking close to the theatre and parking on the south side of the school accessed from highway 18. While parking is not monitored, it is our sincere belief in the best of our community that the closer parking spaces will be filled last for those less able to make the long walk from the school parking lot.
Q: Accessibility
Theatre can accommodate 2-3 wheelchairs/event. If stairs are difficult, please purchase your tickets early to get seats within the first 2 rows.

Q: Cancellation policy/procedures/circumstances
- What happens if a performer cancels a show? A show is only cancelled if the performer absolutely cannot perform to the best of their ability. In this event, the show will be post- poned and re-scheduled. Your ticket purchase would be valid for the re-scheduled date.
- What happens if CATS cancels a show? A show is only cancelled if the performer absolutely cannot perform to the best of their ability or if the theatre is closed due to a health and safety risk. In this were to occur, the show would be postponed and re-scheduled. Your ticket purchase would be valid for the re-scheduled date.
- Is there a timeframe in which guests need to contact CATS if they aren't attending an event they have a ticket for? You are not required to contact CATS if you cannot attend the event. Please ensure your tickets are given to a friend, colleague or neighbour if you cannot attend. However, if you want to donate your ticket back to the theatre you are welcome to do so. Q: How do i become a volunteer?
How wonderful to find you interested in our theatre! Please read through the Code of Conduct to familiarize yourself with expectations of volunteer positions. Please contact: [email protected] and you will be sent a volunteer request form.

FAQ theatre rentals
Q: How many seats in the theatre?
244 tiered seats plus an additional set of balcony seating – maximum 10 on each side.

Q: Is there accessible seating?
Yes, two removable front row chairs to accommodate wheelchair. First row is stage level.
Q: what is allowed in the theatre (food/drinks/alcohol, etc.)?
No food or beverages (other than bottled water) As a renter, please refer to the theatre regulations and rental agreement Section 8 for more detail.
Q: can I use my own technician?
No, only approved theatre technicians have access to locked equipment within the theatre. A student technician must be in attendance at all times during the event.
Q: how does the billing process work?
- Contact Colleen Casavant ([email protected]) or call 780-349-6654 and ask for Colleen to book theatre.
- Refer to the Theatre rates chart and secure your dates with Colleen.
- Colleen will email you the CATS Regulation and Rental Agreement with rental total.
- Return the signed form to Colleen with the $500 damage deposit (separate cheque or EFT deposit) and rental payment (cheque or EFT deposit)
Q: where do I enter and leave the theatre; is there a map of school, theatre, and parking lot?

Q: What are the payment options?
At this point in time payment can be made by cheque and EFT deposit.
Q: What exactly are the details of getting my damage deposit back?
Cheque/payment provided at time of rental will be destroyed or returned after your event only if cleaning and/or repair is not required. Renters, see Section 1 of the Regulations and Rental Agreement.
Q: is there a walk in/out form provided prior to and post rental to determine if conditions of the "extra cleaning" were met?
Theatre technicians are required to record the condition of theatre prior and post rental.
Q: Where is a copy of the rental agreement? Terms and Conditions vary between venues, and are a part of the decision making process.

Q: The theatre rate chart makes it sound like a technician is included with the standard rate (see rehearsal rate). Why is there an additional charge at the bottom?
The Theatre Rental Category values reflect the cost of theatre rental. The Extra Fees category separates out the rate that would be applied to the renter for the cost of the required technician based on the amount of time needed in the facility.
