Meet the team behind the magic!

CULTURAL ARTS THEATRE SOCIETY BOARD

Barry Robinson, ChairPERSON

Barry joined the CATS board in 2008 and has been chairman since 2009. It has been his pleasure to work with such passionate board members. Everyone on the board knows the importance of having a viable theatre in our community. As a board, we continue to update the theatre with the goal of having it refreshed and ready for today and for future generations.

Arla Trueblood; Vice President

Picture
Arla Trueblood came to the board from a background of amateur theatre with the Westlock Drama Society and three children who lived and breathed the arts during their formative school years.  She has a keen interest in ensuring that the Westlock Cultural Arts Theatre continues to be the hub for all types of artistic performances for years to come.
Message of appreciation: We'd like to thank Wayne Lannon, for  his years as Vice President of the CATS Society. We wish him well in his new adventures in Ontario! We're pleased to welcome Arla, who will be officially taking office during the next AGM.

Margaret Ruhl; Treasurer

Margaret has always enjoyed the variety of performances that our society is able to bring to the community. For the society to provide this enriching experience volunteers are needed.  When the need arose for a Treasurer her accounting experience was a good fit. She has volunteered as Treasurer since 2012.

sUSAN bOWSFIELD;  SECRETARY

Teaching drama at R.F. Staples since 1996 has created a love for arts and the physical space. She has directed several shows for RF students including: Grease, Fame, Breakfast Club, Wizard of Oz, Annie and Mary Poppins. By sitting on the Society board she is able to give back to the beautiful space that brings her contentment during the school year. The arts make a community richer and she is grateful to contribute to Westlock's enrichment.
